Mares vs Geldings Empty Mares vs Geldings

Hey, thought we could get the ball rolling on an age old discussion here! So, anyone have a preference for mares or geldings? I'm getting horsey no 2 soon and have been warned by one instructor to not even consider any mares, which I find a bit harsh!

What do you guys think?
